Learn MoreIn early February, Dr. Carlson and Dr. Anderson led the Lions of Michigan Vision Mission team on a week-long mission trip. It marked their 21st and 41st mission trips, respectively. Alongside a team of 13 members, they travelled to Suriname, located on the northern coast of South America. During the trip, the team conducted four days of clinics in the cities of Paramaribo, Wanica, and Brokopondo. In total, they examined approximately 1,900 individuals and distributed 1,735 pairs of eyeglasses, readers, and sunglasses. Additionally, many individuals were referred for cataract and/or glaucoma care.
